Nathan Daniel Fackrell is born! February 21, 2009 12:05 a.m.

Hello family and friends, we are so excited to share our pictures of Nathan's birth with you. Nathan came "flying" into the world just after midnight Saturday morning. Notice the picture of Dr. Medley catching him on his way out -ha ha. Also, can you tell which pictures are the before and after the epidural? He weighed a whopping 6 lbs. 6 oz. and was 20 and 1/2 inches long. We think he has mom's nose and mouth and dad's green eyes, ears, legs, toes and cleft chin. He is also very strong as everyone has noticed during doctor visits and diaper changes. He can even hold up his own head! We love him so much and are very grateful for his safe arrival. Thank you to all of you for your support, phone calls, and love.
Love Heather Danny and Nathan

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Hey everyone, happy Thanksgiving! Our newly-added pictures, as you can see range from Halloween until just last night. This year for Halloween I thought it would be quite appropriate to dress up as a queen bumble bee given my new body shape. Danny really enjoys his collection of masks and tries to find opportunity throughout the year to use them. Sophie put on her cat-suit. We took a short trip up into northern Oregon to do some exploring. We stayed in a yurt at Fort Stevens. We visited Louis and Clark National Park. We saw the Columbia river where it enters the pacific ocean. If you look closely you'll see Mt. St. Helens in the background of one of the pictures from when we drove up into southern Washington.
Danny and I were very excited to get the news that he was accepted to the Endodontic residency at the University of Connecticut. We will be moving back east next summer with our new-born baby and kitty. Speaking of baby he is getting bigger and bigger every day. We like the name Daniel Declan and I also like Nathan Daniel but we've got to get serious and talk some more about names.
We hope everyone has a nice day and enjoys their dinner.
Love,
Heather & Danny

It's a boy!

Well, everyone should know by now that we are having a baby boy!! We are so excited to finally know what this little baby is. The ultra sound pictures are awesome, they are 3D pictures that show a lot more detail than I knew they could. I think he definitely looks like Danny! Yay, cutey. What do you all think? We have been tossing around name ideas all night and think we will definitely discard a couple of suggestions we've gotten: Mackeral, Rocky. Let us know your suggestions.

Welcome to our new web log!
Heather and I have been talking about starting a blog for a while. Since we are expecting in March a blog is going to be a great way to keep everyone updated on the pregnancy and how thing are going. What sealed the deal about starting this blog was when we tried to send photos via email. We decided blogging would just be easier.
So, welcome, check in once in awhile, we will be posting updates and photos periodically.

Love,
Danny & Heather
